Why groups book the whole villa
The Full Villa Retreat rate covers up to six guests, with additional people charged separately, and it gives your group the run of the property. That matters more than it sounds. Everyone eats when they want to, the children can be loud, and nobody is negotiating a shared space with strangers.
Most of our bookings are families over a long weekend, groups of friends driving down from Pune, or extended families getting together somewhere nobody has to host. The layout suits all three - two furnished bedrooms plus the glass room, with the lawn as the place everyone actually ends up.
Travelling with children
There is a dedicated kids' play area beside the lawn, which means you can finish a meal outdoors while keeping them in sight. The bigger draw is the farm - more than fifty ducks, hens, rabbits, cats and goats live on the property, and for most children this is the part of the holiday they talk about afterwards.
The property is gated with on-site staff around the clock, so it is a contained, safe space for children to move around in rather than somewhere you are constantly watching a road.
Bringing your dog
Pets are genuinely welcome here, at no extra charge - which is surprisingly hard to find in this area. There is open lawn to run on and you are not going to be shushed by a front desk.
Two things worth mentioning: tell us in advance so we can prepare, and remember there are farm animals on the property. If your dog is not used to poultry or goats, plan to keep them apart for the first day.
Larger groups
We can sleep up to 20 guests. The Full Villa Retreat rate covers six, with everyone beyond that charged per person - but rather than working it out from the per-extra-person rate, contact us with your numbers. Discounted rates are often available for bigger bookings, and we would rather find an arrangement that works than lose you to a table on a webpage.
Send your dates, your group size, and anything specific you need - mattresses, meals, a particular sleeping arrangement. We will tell you honestly whether we can do it well.
Food for a group
A cook is available on request and prepares home-style Maharashtrian meals, which is usually simpler than trying to feed a group at restaurants in town. Breakfast and lunch can be arranged as per our menu card. Give us dietary requirements and rough timings when you book.
The outdoor BBQ and bonfire setup is where most group evenings end up. There is a music setup available too.
